Ariel Summary Download Selling Out Misc. |
Selling Out is the sequel to The Double Life
of Ariel Crawford, and you should probably read Ariel first, if you
haven't already. If you don't want to do that, at least read the summary.
Selling Out is considerably different than Ariel in both tone and content,
and even if you didn't like Ariel it's worth giving it a try.
The story is a work in progress and is updated whenever I get the time, which isn't all that often. Please be patient. Emails asking "when will the next chapter be out?" don't help anything. If you're bored, re-read Ariel. The story focuses primarily on Danielle, Ariel's older cousin, and is written in first person from her point of view. As the story opens up, Danielle is 14 and a freshman in high school, Caitlin is 10, and Ariel is 9, although most of the chapters that have been written so far take place when Danielle is 15 or 16. The characters have all changed a bit, Ariel is no longer in diapers, Caitlin still must wear them but hates them, and Danielle wears when she gets the chance because she's a diaper lover. Nobody is supposed to know that, though, although most of her family is at least suspicious, and Danielle often goes to great lengths to try to hide her secret from her family and friends. She tries not to let that compromise her wearing habits, though, and consequently gets into situations where she could easily be discovered. One of her biggest concerns is keeping the secret from her boyfriend, Vince, who is an agonizing perfectionist in a dysfunctional family. Danielle is much more laid-back than Vince and suspects that he would be less than accepting of her diaper habits. Her suspicions are confirmed when she inadvertently - and loudly - tells him that she likes diapers at a party. But not everyone has a problem with that... |
